Cyrex Labs Sponsors Presentation at ACAM Fall Meeting
The American College for the Advancement of Medicine (ACAM), held its annual fall meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, November 5-6, 2010 titled “Optimal Health Through Integrative Medicine.” An estimated 500 integrative practitioners attended.
At the event, Cyrex Laboratories sponsored a Sunrise Breakfast Presentation featuring Aristo Vojdani, Ph.D., the company’s Scientific Consultant. Dr. Vojdani lectured on “Gut to Brain Connections” in which he explained the connections among the gut, brain, body, and immune system. This early morning event inspired, challenged, and educated practitioners, according to a Cyrex spokesperson. “The interactive demonstration about intestinal permeability, and how to measure it, hit home with many who had been using the Lactulose Mannitol method in their offices,” said the spokesperson. “It is reasonable to believe that Cyrex’s Array 2 may replace the above-mentioned test.”
ACAM took extra steps to ensure that dietary limitations of many attendees did not hinder them from consuming a proper meal. As a special treat, Ani Phyo, a raw food advocate, gave a demonstration on how to make a chocolate cake out of antioxidant-filled walnuts and natural sugary dates. The cake’s frosting was made from healthy avocado fat. “Cyrex was honored to take part in this all-around healthy event,” said the spokesperson.
