Cyrex Shows the Importance of Testing at ARI Conference
The Autism Research Institute (ARI), founded in 1967 by Bernard Rimland, Ph.D, is an international clearinghouse and research organization aimed at explaining safe, scientifically sound protocols that target the triggers of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The ARI Conference, or Defeat Autism Now! (DAN!) as it is known by most, is a special project of ARI, which is dedicated to the exploration and dissemination of scientifically documented biomedical interventions for individuals within the autism spectrum. Cyrex participated at the October 8-10, 2010 event held in Long Beach, Calif.
This well-known event attracts parents and practitioners alike to its general and scientific sessions. “What sets Cyrex Laboratories apart from the sea of exhibitors is the use of illustrations on the company’s marketing materials,” said one conference attendee, who visited the Cyrex booth. “The artwork made it easy to understand the importance of the testing services at Cyrex. This showed me how their work is different from what other labs offer.”
To better explain each patient’s results, Cyrex urges practitioners to laminate the illustration page of its brochure and have a copy of each one in the examination rooms. A dry erase marker can be used to draw over the illustration during the explanation of a particular patient’s test results. After the patient leaves, the practitioner can simply wipe the results clean and the illustration is ready for the next patient, according to a company spokesperson.
